Earth's little bird-dinosaur, rising in the late Jurassic, and eluding (we are glad) that most-dramatic of the great dyings.
In art school I worked with slabs of Bavarian limestone in the lithography studio. As we ground down the stone we could see traces of fossils. My painting copies the famous Archeopteryx discovered in the region of the Solnhofen quarries.
